<ol id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001099281248__en-us_topic_0000001082926731_en-us_topic_0109259519_en-us_topic_0102427953_ol784216307425"><li id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001099281248__en-us_topic_0000001082926731_en-us_topic_0109259519_en-us_topic_0102427953_li192864493116"><span>Use the client provided by <span id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001099281248__en-us_topic_0000001082926731_ph7194723125711">GaussDB(DWS)</span> to connect to the database where the foreign server resides as the user who created the foreign server.</span><p><p id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001099281248__en-us_topic_0000001082926731_p123651141142812">You can use the <strong id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001099281248__en-us_topic_0000001082926731_b18431155103516">gsql</strong> client to log in to the database in either of the following ways:</p>
