<h1 class="topictitle1">Dropping a Function/Procedure</h1>

<div id="body32001227"><p id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001188680984__en-us_topic_0185264300_p15536152212525">Individual or batch drop can be performed on functions/procedures. Refer to <a href="DWS_DS_133.html">Dropping a Batch of Objects</a> section for batch drop.</p>

<p id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001188680984__en-us_topic_0185264300_p34928551">Follow the steps below to drop a function/procedure or SQL function object:</p>

<ol id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001188680984__en-us_topic_0185264300_ol45921510"><li id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001188680984__en-us_topic_0185264300_li10640407"><span>In the <strong id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001188680984__en-us_topic_0185264300_b37372663185626">Object Browser</strong> pane, right-click the selected function/procedure object and select <strong id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001188680984__en-us_topic_0185264300_b809648185626">Drop Object</strong>.</span></li><li id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001188680984__en-us_topic_0185264300_li18863173112381"><span>To drop objects in batches, right-click two or more selected function/procedure objects and choose <strong id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001188680984__en-us_topic_0185264300_b194221723112513">Drop Objects</strong>.</span></li><li id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001188680984__en-us_topic_0185264300_li32249809"><span>In the confirmation dialog box, click <strong id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001188680984__en-us_topic_0185264300_b53362686185626">Yes</strong> to complete the operation successfully.</span><p><p id="EN-US_TOPIC_0000001188680984__en-us_topic_0185264300_p8907132914491">The status bar displays the status of the completed operation.</p>
