<h1 class="topictitle1">Why Is the Monitored Number of Accumulated Messages Inconsistent with the Message Quantity Displayed on the Kafka Console?</h1>

However, the Kafka console shows that there are 100 million messages in all six topics of the instance.</p>

<p id="kafka-faq-0007__p5643961112"><strong id="kafka-faq-0007__b1386771911534">Analysis</strong>: The two statistics methods are different. The Kafka console shows the number of messages that have not been retrieved. The monitoring data shows the number of accumulated messages in the topics multiplied by the number of consumer groups.</p>
