Changing a DB Instance Name
Scenarios
This section describes how to change a DB instance name to identify different DB instances.
Method 1
- Log in to the DDS console.
- On the Instance Management page, hover the mouse over the DDS instance name you wish to change and click the icon
that is displayed next to the DB instance.
- If you want to submit the change, click OK. The DB instance name can be 4 to 64 characters long. It must start with a letter and can contain only uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, hyphens (-), and underscores (_).
- If you want to cancel the change, click Cancel.
- View the change result on the Instance Management page.
Method 2
- Log in to the DDS console.
- On the Instance Management page, click the target DB instance.
- In the DB Information area on the Basic Information page, click
in the DB Instance Name field to change the instance name.
- View the results on the Instance Management page.
